Head Chef Zico Ali comes to Cork with a wealth of experience gained in some of London’s top restaurants.

Most recently, Zico was Executive Chef at Mamounia Lounge in London’s exclusive Mayfair.  Prior to that he was Head Chef at The Lord Palmerston, a flagship Gastropub, one of the first UK gastropubs catering to local residents and celebrities.

Over the years, Zico has also worked with some well-respected people in the food industry.  In conjunction with members of the Forte family, he established and was Head Chef of Bar Vendôme next to the exclusive Browns Hotel, owned by Rocco Forte catering to a clientele of  A-list celebrities and members of the Royal Family. 

Zico has a strong background in London’s West End and he also ran the very successful kitchen as Head Chef at Wheelers of St. James, an exclusive fish restaurant.

He was a key component to the tremendous success of Palais du Jardin, a stylish and popular restaurant in London’s Covent Garden. Having worked with the owner for a number of years, he partnered on the design and build of the restaurant.
